Well, that has been a fucking disaster.

And to think, it's only costing us, um, everything.

Anyway, one of the pretty lies I was told back in the 1980's is that Reagan's recovery was all smoke and mirrors, that all these job hires were pizza delivery type jobs. You know, 6% unemployment, pre-internet boom, was based all on the creation, consumption, and delivery of tomato covered bread products. Of course, it was all untrue. But what does truth matter to a leftist? We've always been at war with Libya (indeed, I've always thought that the War Powers Act was unconstitutional and that we should give war a chance, so I have little problem with Obama's sudden hawkishness but still, a lot of Prii are going to have to get new bumperstickers (but that's another post)).

So, today we read that that half of all job growth last quarter was McDonald's hiring.

Morgan Stanley estimates McDonald’s hiring will boost the overall number by 25,000 to 30,000. The Labor Department won’t detail an exact McDonald’s figure — they won’t identify any company they survey (of 54K jobs added)

How about that. What the true-believers wish-cast for in the 1980's is finally occurring. All job growth is mostly low-income, low skill jobs at a fast food place. I guess those Obamacare waivers work.

Now, don't get me started on the higher-ed bubble or why you shouldn't go to grad-school...

Just wanted to coin a phrase...

It seems some students were punished for wearing American flags to school on cinco de Mayo.

Yeah, the school officials that did this are America's Vichy Government. They've got to keep the conquered in line, don't they?

How would I like it if someone wore Mexican colors on the Fourth of July?

Well, let's put some thought into that question...

Um, you mean if I moved to Mexico in this hypothetical? And I walked around saying how much Mexico sucked and how the part of Mexico in which I am living should be returned to the US? I think if I were that big of an asshole, I may take offense. But the reality is is that I would be an asshole who deserved to get insulted by the patriotism of the country in which I chose to live. Get it? When you migrate, you should assimilate...that being what we used to call the "melting pot." You leave the Old Country and embrace the New Country.

Anyway, PCism runs amok. Our government seemingly exists to serve the large, potential voting pool of illegal immigrants rather than the people who are here and appreciate the place. There you go, we are now subjects of Vichy America.

Interesting episode of SNL this weekend. I guess they gave up on trying to Palinize the tea parties and moved on to a group that we can all hate together. Hope and Change, baby!

These public sector union thugs have gamed the system. From incompetent teacher rubber rooms to double dipping and abuse of disability rules. This is what happens when a democracy lets the government get too large or the voters get to used to monolithically voting for one party.

At least in the old days of Federalism and Capitalism, when someone else failed it was their problem. They had to make it right, go bankrupt, start over again. The point being is that the bad behavior changed. Now, the WPE administration is doing their best to institutionalize failure. So, go ahead, work hard, raise a family, pay taxes, save some money, the left's going to take it to subsidize their idiocy.

My dad always like to say the world is divided between the haves and the have nots. trite. And he said it in a way to convey that the haves are the bad people. No. It's the other way around. The "haves" have stuff because they worked for it. The "haves" have to protect their stuff from the "have nots." In fact, people who use terms like "haves" and "have nots" are generally using it in a way to justify taking from the "haves." Sorry, the pursuit of happiness includes being secure in your own possessions. Let me quote from my boy, P.J. O'Rourke:

I think the Old Testament is quite clear about that. The Bible might seem to be a strange place to be doing economic research, but I have been thinking, from a political economy point of view, about the Tenth Commandment. Now the first nine commandments concern theological principles--thou shall not steal and kill and so forth. Fair enough. Then there's the Tenth Commandment: "Thou shall not covet they neighbor's wife. Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's house, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor's." I mean, here are God's basic rules for how we should live, a very brief list of sacred obligations and solemn moral precepts, and right at the end of it is: "Don't envy your buddy his cow." What is that doing there? Why would God, with just 10 things to tell Moses, choose jealousy about the stuff the guy next door has? Well, think about how important to the well-being of a community that commandment actually is. What that commandment says is that if you want a donkey, if you want a pot roast, if you want a cleaning lady, don't bitch about it, go get your own!

The Tenth Commandment sends a message to socialists, to collectivists, to people who believe that wealth is best obtained by redistribution, and that message is clear and concise: Go to hell! It's as simple as that.

This image of oh-so-holier-than thou hate filled leftists really amuses me.

That's right, we here in Eugene are so post-hate that we can hope someone chokes to death because she's the hater. Get it? Apparently, Palin is so hateful with her hatefulness that she justifies a self-defense exception to the hate-free zone rule of being hate free. After all, anyone who is a patriot, a defender of free markets, or decides not to abort her less than perfect child, is full of hate. Oh yeah, she also made fun of the left's super-cool boyfriend, so she must die.

How dare she suggest that a thugged up, Chicago thug who never held any executive post and seemed to surround himself with hate-filled lefties (the good kind of hate, natch, the kind that bombs the Pentagon and says "God Damn America" after 9-11) would turn out to be the worst president ever, bumbling around from bad idea to bad idea while at the same time embarrassing himself on the world stage.

Yep, that's the Reader of the Teleprompter of the Free World bowing to the Mayor of Tampa, Florida; a feat he's performed around the world.

But back to the fungible hate filled leftists, here represented by the cognitive dissonance of the Eugenesters (The Eugenicals perhaps? After all, one theory of Palin hate is that they hate her cause she kept Trig instead of abortion)...

I am reminded of how liberals argue.

The first technique is more or less their meta self-defense against introspection. That is, they project. Just look at the signs. On one hand, the signs simply state "we hate you, Sara Palin. Please die." On the other hand, they obviously think they are the epitome's of anti-hate. Nope, sorry, hate-filled leftists, you are filled with hate. You hate so much you cleanse your communities and schools and mind from any disagreeing theories. As Reagan said, you are ignorant, you know so much that isn't so. All thoughts and facts contrary to your views are swept aside. ignored.

Technique number two in the hate-filled leftist playbook is the ad hominem personal attack. Let's say you point out that Obama had no idea what was in the Pelosicare bill and that he basically begged Pelosi to pass any bill titled "Healthcare Reform" regardless of any costs or operations and that the end result is going to be a gigantic clusterfuck. Well, the hate-filled leftist may respond by calling you a "racists teabagging moron" or something else quite nice. Fine, I am all of those things, the bill still sucks, can we focus on that? And that reminds me, look at WPE's face as Rep. Paul Ryan explains to him that the proposed bill uses every sham CBO gaming technique to hide its awfulness.

What do you think he's thinking here? His thoughts are most likely "I hate this guy, he is my enemy," and not something substantial.

The third technique is to argue against their own prejudices. Again, hate-filled lefties know so much that isn't so. Of course, Bush planned 9-11 to have Halliburton get rich and evil corporations are keeping America from being a good place and the networks are run by corporations and that people who disagree are probably from the south and never read any books and should stop listening to Rush Limbaugh...and so on....

So, your debate isn't a presentation of ideas, it's a talking point from the evil insurance companies. Witness Obama's justification of nationalizing health care, um doctors are performing predatory amputations and tonsillectomies. Right, convincing! Well, only to people who live in that reality, I guess.

Finally, I've realized that any time a liberal recounts anything anyone said, chance are they are lying. Show me the tape! Anne Coulter said "They think all Ann Coulter quotes are one long ticker tape that may be cut up and strung together at random to produce any imaginable point."

Another example that sticks out is the Limbaugh phony soldier controversy. I remember Harry Reid characterize this as "Limbaugh was engaged in one of his typical rants. This one was unremarkable, indistinguishable from his usual drivel, which has been steadily losing listeners for years, [sic] until he crossed that line by calling our men and women in uniform who oppose the war in Iraq, and I quote, "phony soldiers." " Get it? Rush was in a rant where he crossed the line, apparently during that rant calling people in the military who oppose the Iraq war as "phony soldiers." So, obviously, one would think that Rush said something along the lines of, if you don't support the war, and you are in uniform, you aren't a true soldier, and are a seditious tool.

Contrary to this alternate reality, Rush was not in a rant, he was actually listening to a caller, who is in the military complain about people claiming to be combat vets and then using that status to accuse the military of war crimes or to oppose the war. That is, a caller cited the phenomenon of Jesse MacBeth types who, oops, made up a bunch of lies. The exchange went something like this:

RUSH ARCHIVE: It's not possible intellectually to follow these people.

CALLER: No, it's not. And what's really funny is they never talk to real soldiers. They like to pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and spout to the media.

RUSH: The phony soldiers.

CALLER: The phony soldiers. If you talk to any real soldier and they're proud to serve, they want to be over in Iraq, they understand their sacrifice and they're willing to sacrifice for the country.

RUSH: They joined to be in Iraq.

So, two versions of reality. What really happened is that Rush and a caller were discussing, in an aside, the Jesse MacBeth slurs. These liars were phony soldier, that term being a short hand for people who have falsely claimed to be combat vets or combat vets who made up false stories. So, what actually happened and the false reality dreamed up by the hate-filled left. Even worse, many democrat senators then signed a resolution decrying what happened in their minds. Well, in my mind, those who signed that resolution identified themselves as shameless, robotic partisan hacks.

So, anytime a hate filled lefty friend starts a conversation with "Have you heard what so and so said?" I know that I have to be prepared to say, um no, show me the tape. You're repeating a lie.
So, here's to you, hate filled lefties of Eugenics, Oregon, keep the scary hate of Palin at bay. Can we get an ironic, 80's slow clap?

Thursday, April 22, 2010

Ok, so let's just start off with this. Thanks a lot, 52 percenters. I mean, fuck the 52 percent who elected the reader of the teleprompter of the formerly free world. But double fuck the McCain primary voters who gave us the asshole who gave up the election to Obama because that's just the kind of Maverick he is.

IBD summarizes what 2 years of Unicorn Farts have done to the economy, along with 4 years of democrat control of Congress.

"TARP Special Inspector General Neil Barofsky told Congress that "nearly 20 preliminary and full criminal investigations" were under way. By June, Barofsky was estimating the total cost of U.S. bailout and stimulus efforts at as much as $23.7 trillion — an astounding sum to pay for regulatory incompetence."

To steal from PJ O'Rourke, What the fuck? What the fucking fuck? I mean really? $23 Trillion? To bail out what? I said it in October 2008, we should let everything break and pick up the pieces. Bailing things out only reinforces the underlying problems. Bankruptcy clears the forest, so to speak. But now we’re on the hook for twice the gross national product.

And now, America is looking down the barrel of even more. WPE is now pimping market reform. And pondering a VAT.

What economist does this guy listen to? Oh right, Che Guevara and Alinsky.

This is scary stuff. With the mindless, robotic help of Congress, Obama is succeeding in pouring concrete into the metaphoric economic gears of the country. High taxes will kill growth. Regulation will kill investment. So what will be left? 300 million people with what?

Leftists seem to assume that America can be the America we know and love, powerful and wealthy and safe without any of the real world stuff that got us our wealth, power, and safety. That is, they think we can eliminate risk (and therefore entrepreneurship etc.) without eliminating prosperity. That we can tax the fuck out of everything without everything disappearing.

People on the right like to talk about Cloward-Piven but this economic strategy is more than that. It's basically an obliteration of an economy. If this isn't done on purpose, these actions have got to be the biggest accident ever. Can Pelosi, Obama, and Reid just accidentally do the wrong thing at every possible moment?

So yeah, what a pisser. It feels like the communists have won. What to do? I mean, I don’t want to live through the next Great Depression.

And president-shit-for-brains pulls this one out. “Obama has claimed his middle class tax pledge only applied to income taxes rather than “any form of taxes”.Right…Promises promises. We can't impeach this guy fast enough.

Wednesday, April 21, 2010

Let's just recap. And yes, I shameless rip this off from Agoyandhisblog but I've been on top of this too. It's all about aggregation, baby!

Pictures can be worth a 1000 words. Sometimes there's a trend. Then the trend changes. If you were able to figure out what caused the change in the trend to occur, well then you've learned a lesson.

So, let's check this out:

And remember, we spent a trillion dollars to do this:

And yes, we paid for nothing. And for some reason, the up-town girls I know are all of the sudden not so concerned about the deficit.

And just to point out, Obama's anti-business policies (and the anti-investment horror shows like Sarbanes-Oxley) leads to the current, ahem, recovery:

And you stupid Obama zombies robotically support him.

Oh well, at least he's not like those stupid a-holes, Bush, Reagan, and JFK who cut taxes and made life easy for people. So, the hipster D-bag O-voters can feel smug. So that's something.
Just reading about how the California unions have bankrupted that state and it seems to me that some predictions from hundreds of years ago have come true. We've replaced one tyrant 1000 miles away with 1000 tyrants one mile away.

Yup, public sector union thugs are America's new King George.

Seditious? I guess.

But, listen up, you lazy thugs. You will lose just like King George.

But since we are dealing with leftists, let's review the rule of thumb on lefty debating points.

1. They project.

2. They lie. In fact, if a lefty ever recounts what she heard someone say, they are lying. Play the video, bitches.

3. They forget.

et tu, Hillary? I never knew you were a tea-bagger.

Look, this is America. The government works for us. We reserve the right to fire you people whenever we want. That includes the shitheels who work the little jobs too.

Thankfully, the war is on and we have a modern politician willing to push back. In New Jersey, these teachers apparently get a pension worth $3 million for an investment of $120K over their career. Those of us in the private sector have to work hard and invest smart for that. And let's not forget the rubber rooms of NYC where teachers too incompetent to teach still get paid (thankfully, ending soon).

Better yet, these union thugs, get all union-thuggy over it too, whether it's fake (wink wink, nudge nudge) death threats or organized strikes and walk outs. But really, what is the difference between King George and a fire fighter who refuses to put out a fire unless you pay your protection money.

Breitbart has some nice links to violent union thugs too, I like this little pile of crap whacking the camera out of someone's hand.

And of course, there's Kenneth Gladney.

What is scary is that the left doesn't seem to recognize basic economics. A functioning society cannot prosper when too many people work for the government instead of work for themselves.

Furthermore, it is a pisser that these union thugs can write their silly pension plan promises. We, in the real world, can laugh at them and say that their plans are not economically viable. But now, we are on the hook for this crap, bailing out states and businesses that have stupid pensions. "Thanks for being responsible...yoink, it's our money now." Instapundit has been commenting on this crap for years. At the end, it's simple. There were two schools of thought. States like Texas had low tax and small government models while idiots like New Jersey and California went the high tax and big government route. All that they got was expensive but crappy services.

Let's go full Reagan. Fire them all. All bets off. Welcome to the real world.

Wednesday, March 31, 2010

A friend posted a whiny, chin-scratchy, lefty pointlet:

"Liberal or conservative, I think we can all agree what this country doesn't need is more hate groups."

Uh huh, get it? Now, the left cares about hate. Well, obviously, this is a media construct to obfuscate that the DNC rammed through a shitty bill that was signed by their shitty president and now hoi polloi are upset.

But fine...

Why not get the libs to clean up their hate groups. We can ask why Eric Holder dropped the convictions of those black panther members who harassed voters in Philly. We can stop ACORN from "reclaiming" foreclosed houses in Baltimore. We can have the president stop sending SEIU union thugs to houses of CEO's to intimidate them into accepting his policies. We can start prosecuting environmentalist whackos who bomb labs, spike trees, assault people who wear fur, and destroy cars and houses. Also, how about actually punishing all those WTO and World Bank and IMF protesters when they smash windows and burn cars?

Second, we can ask the media to actually report on these things instead of trying to smear the ordinary Americans in Tea Parties as racists or by calling them wink-wink-nudge-nudge tea baggers.

So, if a Democrat legislator is going to lie and say a coffin was left on his yard when in reality it was prop in a prayer vigil, the media should call him on his false statements.

If a video shows that an alleged racial spitting incident was a case of accidental "say it, don't spray it," and a black congressman who habitually calls his opponents racist falsely says he heard racial slurs, then surely the media should call him on that.

Indeed, Breitbart is offering cash money for proof otherwise. So, find the video and pay some bills.

But, no, there's an agenda and I guess the dying Wash Post and CNN's of the world will continue playing out these lies in service of the administration.

But I have the trump card.
Prop 8.
The response thereto was truly hateful. Donors being tracked down and attacked. Oh, and get this, the blacks voted for it 70-30. That led to some interesting events...

"It was like being at a klan rally except the klansmen were wearing Abercrombie polos and Birkenstocks," wrote the commenter."

So, noble lefty. Please compare and contrast. Gays calling people the N-word for the way the voted versus voters picketing their representatives for the way they voted. Even if the left-wing fantasy of tea party "hate" took place, explain. For the members of the reality based community willing to come out into the sunlight, explain the real-world difference (i.e., no tea party racism/violence/etc.).

Finally, if I've learned one thing about the left, it is this:

They lie constantly. Anytime they allege someone said this or that, demand the tape. I've never heard a correct quotation.

Baby It’s Cold Outside…But It’s Shrieky Inside.

I figured I would share the following from a recent exchange of social network posts. You may realize that it’s cold outside. Some people who know that global warming is complete bullshit and nothing more than a scam are posting little digs about, “hey, how about this global warming.” Or, “we got 12 inches of global warming last night.” Some neo-eco-marxist replied while it’s hot here. This lead to a little back and forth wherein I jumped in by pointing out that not even the global warming scientists believe the earth is getting warmer. That is why they had to hide the decline in their findings. And cherry pick weather station data. And hide the code and data used in their computer models. They're snake oil salesmen.

What is interesting about this winter is that both the eastern and western halves of the northern hemisphere are getting cold weather. Normally, it splits to where Russia has a super cold winter and we get slightly above average. This year, China's getting cold and we are too. So, it's a very cold year.

And, the lies of the global warming crowd have been exposed. They lied, they destroyed the careers of those who tried to peer review their work, and they have refused to truthfully respond to the climategate revelations.

St. Al Gore of the global warming religion/cult lied and said the emails were ten years old...wrong.
And in response to an argument that the world is complex, I say no, the complexity of the problem is quite simple. Out of 20 Antarctic weather stations, these people chose to sample only one. One that is near a populated airport city...the weather station showing the greatest warming due to an urban heat sink effect. Similarly, in Russia, they also hid the decline by ignoring weather stations that showed a decline in temperature. Next, in America, they homogenized weather station data between urban (temperature effect due to the urban heat sink effect) and rural weather (decline in temps) stations by averaging the difference instead of throwing out the urban heat sink data.

Also, they finally revealed how they have corrected historical temperature data...by lowering past temperature and raising recent temperatures.

Actually, most meteorologists and weathermen I've met or read think it's BS too.

This scholarly article is good at cocktail parties and for entertaining small children:

Next, I pointed out that ultimately, the test of the global warming religion is how are those sea levels coming along? According to the screechier shamans of the religion, the damage is done and the ice caps are gone. Fine, if that's true, where's the flooding?

I mean, as I understand it, when the earth-god gets so angry that he punishes us for our CO2 emissions, he will melt the ice caps and flood us. Agriculture and forests actually prefer higher temps, so I've always felt that higher temps would simply add more arable land to the world to use, so high temps aren't bad in an of themselves, just we'll get washed away and that's bad.

But, the flooding. Since dam technology has plateaued and we would never be able to stop the flooding, we need to be concerned about it when we get punished for our CO2 sins. Except, as I've been able to determine, sea level, as measured by satellite radar stuff, has been consistently rising by 2mm a year, the IPCC concluded that “No significant acceleration in the rate of sea level rise during the 20th century has been detected.” In 2007, IPCC notes “Global average sea level rose at an average rate of 1.8 [1.3 to 2.3] mm per year over 1961 to 2003. The rate was faster over 1993 to 2003: about 3.1 [2.4 to 3.8] mm per year. Whether the faster rate for 1993 to 2003 reflects decadal variability or an increase in the longer-term trend is unclear.”

So. I don't know. 1-2mm a year. That means in a hundred years, the seas will rise by about 8 inches.

As for this guy throwing around various Meteorological societies, the shoddy science exposed by Climategate has sort of, how you say? Ah yes, ruined the reputation and trustworthiness of these organizations. So, are This guy's particular groups tainted? I don't know.

But I do know what I know. The science is not settled and the alleged scientists have a lot to answer for.
So, it's a warm winter in Greece? Or it’s warm in Phoenix? Weird. It’s like some tropical areas aren’t as cold as the non-tropics. I mean, I've been reading that the rest of the continent and China have had rough winters. In America’s temperate zones, Texas got hit by snow while Florida braces for cold to save the oranges (first, we lose the eggo waffles, now the oranges? It’s a war on breakfast) but our friend says, “hey, it's warm in Arizona.”

Weather is a cool thing. It's a chaotic system which is hard to predict.

But it is unfair for the MMGCC crowd to get all tsk-tsky (although, it seems that we have discovered that "holier than thou" is modus operandi of these peoples) when the skeptics of the world observe that "gee, anecdotal evidence suggests that this climate change stuff is bunk." It's unfair because the MMGCC crowd is built on ad hoc predictions of doom based on every emerging weather pattern, from Shaman Al Gore erroneously blaming Katrina on the weather god and predicting more category 5 storms, to things like blaming global warming on bad wine crops and so on…

For your consideration, this website tracks the MMGCC hysterics:
http://www.numberwatch.co.uk/warmlist.htm

So, I ask, who is more irresponsible?

Well, remember the psychology of these neo-eco-pagans is a sort of holier than thou enablement/entitlement complex. I guess This guy said something somewhere that qualified.

A recent study found that the neo-eco-pagans get all cheaty when they cut their carbon footprint.

http://ace.mu.nu/archives/295761.php

"In their study (described in a paper now in press at Psychological Science), subjects who made simulated eco-friendly purchases ended up less likely to exhibit altruism in a laboratory game and more likely to cheat and steal."

MMGCC may be a god for the Godless and science for the brainless but it's still an amoral mess.

Awesomely Awesome Update Time.

Another thing I've been saying for years is that the models themselves suck.

Just found this little gem.

None of the multiple computer simulations used by a UN climate-change agency for assessments of global warming appears good enough to predict how India’s monsoon will behave, two Indian scientists have said.

The researchers examined 10 simulations of future climate scenarios used by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and found none could reproduce correctly the behaviour of even 20th-century rainfall.

Not a single model could simulate realistically key features of the Indian monsoon such as maximum activity over the Bay of Bengal and the Northeast and along the west coast, and minimum activity over the northwest, the researchers said. They have presented their analysis in a review paper in Current Trends in Science, a publication of the Indian Academy of Sciences.

So, uh, yeah, your religion is based on predictions of computer models. The models are flawed. Please reconsider your jihad against American businesses and cars.
If there's one thing I love, it's a deal.

I noticed something at the supermarket for black friday. They're offering $20 or more if you buy $200 in gift cards. That includes your basic Visa and AmEx gift credit cards. Is there a catch? They seem to have rescinded the buyer fees too. I mean, I go through $200 in gas just commuting to work, so it's not as if I couldn't just buy $2000 of AmEx cards and pocket $200 and then just use those cards like I would anyway.

Or then, even better, go out and spend that $200 at Target and get another $20. Boo ya, $40 for free.

Just sayin...

It is Thanksgiving, so remember to be thankful for what you've got. Not least of all being that this century's Jimmy Carter signed a bill ostensibly written to be an economic stimulus when, in reality, the thing was just fifteen years of pork that the democrats failed to get included since they lost congress stuffed into one bill that was unread. Now it turns out that, golly gee, it's hurting job prospects because ...

Employers already are squeezed by tight credit, rising health care costs, wary consumers and a higher minimum wage. Now, the surging jobless rate is imposing another cost. It’s forcing higher state taxes on companies to pay for unemployment insurance claims.

Some employers say the extra costs make them less likely to hire. That could be a worrisome sign for the economic recovery, because small businesses create about 60 percent of new jobs. Other employers say they’ll cut or freeze pay.

Why are these costs going up now? Federal intervention, and especially federal law:

Federal law requires states to build up unemployment insurance trust funds in good times so they can pay benefits during downturns. The idea is to avoid having to raise taxes or cut benefits in a recession.

It just gets better. I guess we should consider each turkey we eat this Turkey Day to be one more job saved or created.

How sweet it is!

You know, I've been following the Reader of the Teleprompter of the (Formerly) Free World's advice and "getting in their faces." Whenever someone mentions Global Warming, Green shit, or Man Made Global Climate Change, I say flat out, "There's no such thing as Global Warming." Well, unless I am in a room full of SWPL pussies because then I'd have to be concerned about their safety because that much grunting, gasping, huffing, and puffing would be dangerous to their health (acting as if you were chocking on a peanut is the preferred leftwing SWPL manner of debate, dontcha know?).

I've stated that there's three major problems with the whole global warming religion, chief among them being the dishonest manipulation of data and computer models. Now, since we haven't had access into the inner workings, real scientists could only guess as to what the Global Warming Shamans have used for data and models and the conclusion has been that it's bogus.

Now we know, they're actively colluding to hiding the decline.

From the horses' mouths, as it were, we now know that our suspicions have been confirmed.

How sweet and delicious is this? Even CBS reports on it. My favorite Senator will require investigations.

Basically, a computer got hacked that had the emails detailing discussions of these various hoaxsters discussing ways of hiding the decline...that is, gee why aren't things getting hotter.

There are some good wrap ups out there.

I found a nice quote to just whet the appetite.

"; Plots 24 yearly maps of calibrated (PCR-infilled or not) MXD reconstructions
; of growing season temperatures. Uses "corrected" MXD - but shouldn't usually
; plot past 1960 because these will be artificially adjusted to look closer to
; the real temperatures. "

So, uh, go ahead and buy that sweater, you may still need it.

Oh...one more thing...

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

Oh yeah, I've been waiting for this to come out.

And it underscores my other point, that most liberals are now unable to communicate via anything else other than totemic arguments or vitriol exclamations.

One nice girl I know who, of course, was a DC PR lib chick was, as of a year ago, making political conversation of the sort of "Oh, the national debt is so bad, China owns us, etc."

Well, needless to say, she was an automatic Ozomboid. Well, truth be told, she pivoted left towards Ozombdom once Hillary went down. But months earlier, she was cajoling me to vote Guilliani in the primaries because she just couldn't see Obama in charge because he'd be weak on terror.

The point being though is that mean old Bush had fucked things up with a big old debt. China was going to own us.

Well, shazam, welcome back Carter. Here we see true tax and spending. Oh, we've got the spending, and come next year, we'll get the taxing.

But, where's your China concern now? Now that the reader of the teleprompter of the free world has busted open the piggy bank on fake stimulus projects, it's rather convienent to forget the mock urgency of controlling what turned out to be medium size debts.

Ok, so, my lib pal wasn't really making a totemic argument, she was just repeating the same thing she's heard every night on Jon Stewart or NPR for months.

But really, you say something along the lines of "gee, Obama is spending too much money, it won't work," you get the totemic "You must be a Glenn Beck fan or stupid like Palin." That is, the mere saying of these totemic words is supposed to be an argument of itself. Look, my intellectual roots run deep. You're going to have to do better than that.

On the other hand, you just get vitriol, "well, Bush lieeded!!111Q!!1 people died, so we should let Obama fix America's image." Fact free and hate filled.

Communism doesn't work. You will always run out of money to spend. Market efficiencies dictate that you let bad businesses die. Now, we're worse off than we were a year ago.

Hey, looking at this again, I found this report that high unemployment is to be that way for years.

"Yellen said overall economic recovery was likely to be gradual and "remain vulnerable to shocks" as weakness of the commercial property market combined with the muted outlook for housing and consumer spending.

"With such a slow rebound, unemployment could well stay high for several years to come. In other words, our recovery is likely to feel like something well short of good times," Yellen said."

Remember, these jokers passed the stimulus bill with the promise of immediate impact. Slow-Joe Biden said that we've already seen it's results and they're better than they hoped.

Nope. Fail. Not even close. For the price of the stimulus package, Congress could have simply suspended tax collection for a few months. Or done nothing. Or gave the money directly to tax payers (a bad bad idea, but not as bad what they did do).

These dumbasses, Pelosi, Reid, Obama, Biden, etc., spent nearly a trillion dollars for this. And they aren't done. They also took about another trillion for TARP...which they used to buy General Motors, among other things, for their union thug friends.

Now, they're coming after more of the economy. And you're letting them.

Let's also note, Bush Bashers...

In W's term, after peaking following the 2000 Clinton Bubble and the 9-11 attacks, his unemployment numbers trend down for a long time.

I don't see how Obama plans to do that, unless he thinks he can borrow enough money to employ the whole country for ever.

Basic common sense:
Lower taxes
Cut spending
make a business friendly regulatory environment
stop being organized labor's muscle

UPDATE

Almost forgot, the unemployment graph above shows an upward trend, it may have something to do with this:
These aliens tend to swell poverty statistics and suck up jobs. Just sayin...
Scary thought for the day.

This Congress is not only the worst Congress ever, spending money without thought or logic. Forget that these people were the ones a year ago complaining that we were mortgaging our future to the Chinese.

Obviously, this was just part of their patented "we'll complain about everything, even stuff that we do," strategy of Bush bashing.

No, the country has been taken over by liberals who are complete morons.

There are several bills being rammed through Congress that are complete train wrecks.

They make no sense, have no rational basis in economic theory, and are historically shown to be bad ideas. Hell, these things aren't even being debated.

The end result is either they are trying to destroy the country on purpose or not on purpose.

Recently, I witnessed the end of liberals being able to even make arguments anymore. There is no discussion, it's more like "I support the bill even though noone knows what's in it. How dare you stupid conservatives even try to debate the issue." Follow by insult, repeat until conversation ends.

Liberal thought processes have basically devolved into them arguing against their own prejudices. That is, there is no longer even a thought process anymore. It's basically tribal debasement. You're either a God-bag, tea-bagger, jesus-freak not worth debating or a heartless doctor paying for your Porshe with excess toniscillectomies. Look at these Code Pink assholes insulting military families.

First, there's the perennial favorite to destroy the country, Immigration Reform...or rather "repopulate the country with anyone please!" bill.

It's a democracy, people vote. So why not bring in people who have no connection to this country. They'll be easier to convince to vote your way. And to erase the connection to our country's past. I list this first because giving citizenship to tens of millions of people instantly, people who have no connection to this country through citizenship tests or family or respect for its laws and history will suddenly get to vote. Game changer. No go backs.

Second, the stimulus bill. Porkulus was passed with almost no debate or cognition. On a whim, I've tried finding actual testimony on the subject from back in January 2009. So, how's that working out for you?
What's depressing is that I've tried to do research on this, going through Congressional testimony on projections. Economist stuff. Nope. Just rammed through. If you look at the W versus O deficit chart above, you'll see that when W inherited the Clinton recession, he was able to come out of that without the gigantic blip that Obama signed into law. Also, he fought a war and rebuilt New Orlean and instituted a giant new medicade subsidy in that time. And his deficits were falling after those expenses went through.

Here's some fun stimuli events:
- $3.4 million for a 13-foot tunnel for turtles and other wildlife attempting to cross U.S. 27 in Lake Jackson, Fla.

- $1.15 million to install a guardrail for a persistently dry lake bed in Guymon, Okla.

- $9.38 million to renovate a century-old train depot in Lancaster County, Pa., that has not been used for three decades.

- $2.5 million in stimulus checks sent to the deceased.

- $6 million for a snow-making facility in Duluth, Minn.

- $173,834 to weatherize eight pickup trucks in Madison County, Ill.

- $20,000 for a fish sperm freezer at the Gavins Point National Fish Hatchery in South Dakota.

- $380,000 to spay and neuter pets in Wichita, Kan.

So, who drew the graph in the first place, based on what insight? No one knows and the libs don't care.

But even better are the stimulus jobs "saved or created" lies.

"When the WH demanded that those who received Spendulus money "report" back on how many jobs were "saved or created," they insisted upon a nonsensical rule: If a single dollar of Spendulus was spent on an employee's salary, whether that employee was a new employee or an old one, that gets counted as a job "saved or created." If he's a new employee, that job was created. If he's an existing employee, that job was saved."

$25 billion here, no jobs created.
Up to one-fourth of the 110,000 jobs reported as saved by federal stimulus money in California probably never were in danger.
More than $4.7 million in federal stimulus aid so far has been funneled to schools in North Chicago, and state and federal officials say that money has saved the jobs of 473 teachers. Problem is, the district employs only 290 teachers.
In another case, a shoe store in Kentucky that provided nine pairs of boots to the Army Corps of Engineers for $889.60 reported saving nine jobs. Such errors pervade the stimulus job creation estimates.

Right. 10 percent unemployment. And they're talking about a $1000 saving or creating 20 jobs.

Third, Cap and Trade. Since there's no such thing as global warming or man-man climate change...this piece of shit is pointless and expensive.

But this is too cute, Obama to be given emergency dictator powers if carbon dioxide levels get too high.

"The bills require a federal declaration of a “climate emergency” if world greenhouse gas levels reach 450 parts per million. Guess what? The Pacific Northwest National Lab says it is a virtual certainty that level will be reached within a few months. The bill then requires the president to “direct all Federal agencies to use existing statutory authority to take appropriate actions...to address shortfalls" in achieving needed greenhouse gas reductions.

When Vitter asked EPA Administrator what would be done in such a situation, she refused to say. So it must be asked: Would the president be empowered to do things like nationalize whole sectors of industry, ban coal use, restrict private automobile use, or whatever else the “emergency” requires?"

Huh? what?

Fourth, the health care bills. Pelosi is doing the best she can to ram these massive bills through Congress without the foggiest idea of what's in it. Some people have bothered to read it. I've read HR3200 which was scary enough. Scary in that you realize that Obama hasn't read it and that he's lying through his teeth about it. The New Yorker has a piece that I am still consuming. Ace of Spades found these quotes though:

"There are two big (and linked) problems with the current health-care system. It excludes 46.3 million Americans, according to the Census Bureau, and it is inordinately expensive. The proposed reform purports to tackle both of these problems; in fact, it only addresses the first one in any systematic manner. The future cost savings that the Administration and its congressional allies are promising to deliver are based on wishful thinking and sleight of hand. Over time, the reform, as proposed, would almost certainly add substantially to the budget deficit, thereby worsening the long-term fiscal crisis that the country faces."

In summary, "At some point in the future, the fiscal consequences of the reform will have to be dealt with in a more meaningful way, but by then the principle of (near) universal coverage will be well established."

That is, someone will actually, at some point have to reassess the bill, fix it's defects, and start over. But that won't be done now...it's too important to ram this through now.

You wouldn't buy a house, insurance, a car, or an education this way, but the most important - most ground shifting bills ever proposed by the Congress are being rammed through without thought or debate.

Look, this country was founded and got rich on basic small government prinicples. When and where we've tried big government, it's failed. The left and it's liberal zombie soldiers want to march onward to more and more statism. They ignore the warning signs from their own failures and failures of state controlled economies from around the world. This is bad. They don't care.

Jumping to conclusions...

John Allen Muhammad
Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar
Hesham Mohamed Hadayet
Mohammad Sidique Khan
Mohamed Almallah Dabas
Mohammad Ajmal Amir Kasab
Abdulhakim Muhammad

Yes, what do these people have in common?

And let's not forget:
Karim Akbar
Nidal Malik Hasan
Bilal Talal Samad Abdullah.

What a joke. Never Forget means Never Learn.

Also, twenty years ago, the Berlin Wall fell. Mark Steyn asked a good question, who in the free world could've seen the fall of the Berlin Wall, the people escaping from misery and oppression, and been moved to say, "you know, we need some more of that here and everywhere."

Who? The academic elites for one. People like Barack Hussein Obama.

Whatever, the America retards get what they vote for. Maybe the human condition can't handle prosperity and freedom.

The Post-Reagan years have been 30 years of the best years in human history, period. The only people in America who haven't participated in the boom are those who live under the ideal of the Democrat Party. California may as well fall into sea. Michigan no longer produces anything worth buying. The underclass of the inner city are basically feral people at this point. But, laugh at Sarah Palin. Make fun of the Southern States where business has fled to. How does it feel, Washington State, to be so anti-business that Boeing has left?

What does it all mean? Read the bills, control the border, respect basic economic principles, get the government out of your life.

Anyway, in case you're wondering, or you read the New York Times and you have no idea what that list of names is of, here's a key.

John Allen Muhammad - Beltway sniper killed 10 in cold blood.
Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar tried to kill 9 people in UNC chapel hill by ramming them with his SUV.
Hesham Mohamed Hadayet killed two people at the Isreali airline, El Al, terminal. On the Fourth of July.
Bilal Talal Samad Abdullah rammed his SUV into Glasgow and tried to set it on fire.
Mohammad Sidique Khan bombed the London Subway
Mohamed Almallah Dabas bombed Madrid
Mohammad Ajmal Amir Kasab helped murder and torture (real torture, not the play rock music too loud torture) a Jewish family during the Mumbai massacres
Abdulhakim Muhammad killed a soldier at an Army recruiting station
Karim Akbar fragged his non-Muslim fellow soldiers
Nidal Malik Hasan killed his non-Muslim fellow soldiers

Nope, jump to conclusions, the most important thing is to prevent a backlash against the Muslim community even though they support terrorism.

Just a thought (delayed a bit, sorry)

Isn't this media celebration of the Kennedy asshole's life simply the media patting themselves on the back for being bought and paid for for so long? I mean really, isn't this a celebration of Joseph Kennedy's post WWII era media manipulation.

The media has no shame. But they do have competition now. We know that that Ted Kennedy, the lion of the senate, was a lion inasmuch as he was a roaring drunk, womanizer, shameless robotic partisan hack, and spoiled rich kid. He was the bad guy from every teenage comedy in the 80's, spoiled, blonde, maybe too handsome and athletic at times, rich, arrogant, cheater, over-sexed.

Oh, by the way, he killed a girl.

But he was in favor of abortions...so it's all good to some.
He favored adopting totalitarian ideals from Europe...so it's all good to some.
He was a shameless, robotic, partisan hack who, by the way, voted against a universal health care option in the 70's because republicans would get credit for it. But still, being an asshole is bad, only when it's done to democrats.

I am glad we buried this enemy of America. At least jihadists come from dank mosques in foreign lands. This traitor grew up Catholic and wealthy in America. He should have defended our ideals...instead he was America's Perfect Useful Idiot.

And the media? The watchdogs? They just love the iconography. They need to defend their past obsequiousness for never holding the light to this awful family.
Duh.
I wrote a post analyzing the flaws inherent in HR3200.
It's not that difficult.
In fact, it's staring you in the face.
The reader of the teleprompter of the free world says you can keep your insurance.
The bill says that you are grandfathered in until any changes to your old insurance takes place.
Those are facts.
What the bill also does is require insurance companies to take people in, regardless of preexisting conditions and for a premium equivalent to non-preexisting condition types.
That's a fact.
What this means is that, in order to charge everyone the same, cover applicants with preexisting conditions, all premiums have to go up.
Let's ignore the larger picture of why anyone would get insurance. Just wait until you get sick. You know? Take the tax hit.
What that means is that the grandfather clause is automatically kaput. There's no way your coverage will not be changed the moment the bill passes.
Obama lie.

Anyway, this being a recession and all, I thought I would pass along some money saving tips:

Lunch. People spend too much money on it. My advice, go to taco bell.
Order an $.89 chicken soft taco fresco style.
That's it. If you are super hungry and need more calories, get the chicken soft burrito instead, also $.89. It's filled with rice and a tasty, gooey, obviously high cal guacamole sauce.
Seriously, why bother with anything else. A value meal at Subway? like $8!
Even if you bring in hot pockets or Healthy Choice, you are still spending $3 for lunch.
The taco bell value menu is insane and so are you if you don't use it.
Also, if I can survive on one taco for lunch and I am an active, muscular, strikingly good looking 200 pound man, then you can also live on one.

Straight up, money cash advice ya'll.

Furthermore, Pasta Sauce.
You buy it.
Don't. Just make it.
The best sauce you can buy in a store is arguably Rao's. It's $8 a jar. That Barilla stuff is also pretty good at $3 a jar.
Screw that. Get an onion. A can of whole peeled tomatoes (with seasoning if you like) and a baby can of tomato paste.
Saute the onion until translucent, then add crushed garlic for another minute.
Then, add the two cans.
Stir and crush the tomatoes.
add a bay leaf, a tbsp of sugar. Some pepper, whatever else you have around.
Simmer for an hour or so.
Add about a half cup of the pasta water of the pasta you are cooking and some shredded Parmesan cheese.
Better than anything else you can buy. And I think you get like two jars worth.
I describe it as the difference between sunlight and clouds. This tastes alive while the shit you get at the store feels just there.
You can also add some bacon with the onion. Use a mirepoix if you have it laying around instead of just one onion. Hello, add shredded chicken or sausage mid point, or shrimp at the end.
So, if you shop smart, you can make this stuff for about $2.50. I'd say two jars worth of pasta sauce.

I've been meaning to do this for years. When I finally made my own sauce, the thought of years wasted buying Barilla in the stores struck me as wasted and futile and ultimately wasteful. A complete game changer.

New Chevelle out.

First impression? Fell Into Your Shoes, Sleep Apnea, Letters From a Thief, and a few others are very strong. Going to the show, I'll ask them if they were inspired by Modest Mouse on Shoes.

Anyway, this is a big deal, Hot Air found the death panel. Rather, HR3200's version of the death panels. To quote the reader of the teleprompter of the free world:

Obama read this from his teleprompter:

"But I do think we need to explore a range of ideas about how to put patient safety first; how to let doctors focus on practicing medicine; how to encourage broader use of evidence-based guidelines. I want to work with the AMA so we can scale back the excessive defensive medicine that reinforces our current system, and shift to a system where we are providing better care, simply — rather than simply more treatment."

There you go. You can go ahead and treat granny in contradiction to our "evidence-based guidelines," or you will be sued into submission. I read this line of thought as providing trial lawyers with a prima facie lawsuit against doctors who treat people who go out and provide "simply more treatment."

This guy, reader of the teleprompter of the free world, he is dangerous.

In reading HR3200, something that it appears that the reader of the teleprompter of the free hasn't, I came across with the impression that

First, everyone will be forced to buy high cost insurance, or pay taxes.
Second, those who don't can still get insurance once they get sick, hit by a bus, or old.
Third, a review board will create evidence based guidelines, most likely headed by Dr. Emmanuel (Rahm's brother, call him neo-Kevorkian).
Fourth, there are no affirmative boundaries for anything. The administrator and boards will make all the decisions.
Fifth, abortion, euthanasia, and illegals will certainly be covered.
Sixth, it will cost a lot of money.
Seven, yes it will put insurance companies out of business.

And

No, you won't be able to keep your insurance. Your current plan is grandfathered until any part of it changes. However, on the very first day, the director has the power to force your provider to change the terms of your insurance...ergo...you lose.

Obama lies.

Is it too soon? Too soon to reflect on the passing of a selfish, ignoble jackass whose life was an example of projection and self-immolation?

Yup. I waited a day. I think.

Fuck. Ted. Kennedy.

It's one of those weird things about this guy is that the more you learn about him, the worse of a person he was.

Let's see, caught cheating at Harvard? Check

Led police on car chases? Check

Killed a girl? Check

Kinda sorta used his power and wealth to bed and harass the ladies? Checkity check check

Pink bellied, socialist scum sucked who hated this country? uh yeah

Shameless, robotic, partisan hack. That's his middle name

Does he like to drink? Is the Pope catholic?

Tried to redeem himself by spending other people's money, thereby continuing the leftist delusion that wealth redistribution is a good thing? See above, he's as red as they come.

Did he commit treason? Does offering the premier of the Soviet Union thwart the West's cold war strategy count? Then yes.

Was he, without fail, an advocate for America's enemies...except when politically expedient. Yes, and Uncle Bills says thanks for helping wag that dog.

Did he change the landscape of American politics by Borking Bork and High tech lyching Thomas? You betcha.

Did he enact immigration reforms that in essence were attempts to fire the American voter? Si su perde.

As Andrew Breitbart put it, this isn't a political whack a doo. This a corrupt, vile Jabba the Hutt type gangster putting on airs of civility. Fuck him.

Oh, the Brits don't care...love that they pulled this out of the memory hole.

quote "Irish support: Kennedy with Sinn Fein's Gerry Adams - for years the Democrat was seen as a cheerleader for American Irish supporters of the IRA"
