Well, that has been a fucking disaster.

And to think, it's only costing us, um, everything.

Anyway, one of the pretty lies I was told back in the 1980's is that Reagan's recovery was all smoke and mirrors, that all these job hires were pizza delivery type jobs. You know, 6% unemployment, pre-internet boom, was based all on the creation, consumption, and delivery of tomato covered bread products. Of course, it was all untrue. But what does truth matter to a leftist? We've always been at war with Libya (indeed, I've always thought that the War Powers Act was unconstitutional and that we should give war a chance, so I have little problem with Obama's sudden hawkishness but still, a lot of Prii are going to have to get new bumperstickers (but that's another post)).

So, today we read that that half of all job growth last quarter was McDonald's hiring.

Morgan Stanley estimates McDonald’s hiring will boost the overall number by 25,000 to 30,000. The Labor Department won’t detail an exact McDonald’s figure — they won’t identify any company they survey (of 54K jobs added)

How about that. What the true-believers wish-cast for in the 1980's is finally occurring. All job growth is mostly low-income, low skill jobs at a fast food place. I guess those Obamacare waivers work.

Now, don't get me started on the higher-ed bubble or why you shouldn't go to grad-school...
